Located not far from Venda area, this is a very good place to stay with friendly managers. Lovely gardens, beautiful surroundings, comfortable room, farm animals for kids. The restaurant is convenient but the food lacks finesse.

A very pleasant stop over. The presence and care of the owners and management can be felt. It is regularly used by many Zimbabweans on their way to and from South Africa.
Each room has its own style and there is a wide variety of configurations.
The grounds are well kept and the animals in the enclosures add additional interest.
The bar is well stocked and the dining room has an excellent menu.
The hotel is 2 kilometers off the main road, but well worth travelling that extra distance.
Always a welcome relief to stop here for the night to break the journey off the road between S A and Zim. Rooms and decor are dated and getting tired but offers a safe over night stop to put your head down and rest, as well as a good meal at night and substantial breakfast.
I definitely recommend The Ultimate Guesthouse to any traveller. The facilities are clean, the staff is very friendly and professional and the food is great!! It is a scenic gorgeous location. One of the best establishments in Louis Trichardt!
Bright, breezy, homely ... a lovely location with beautiful vistas all around. Lovely grounds (crazy golf, swimming, etc.).
We didn't have enough time to explore everything (we should have stayed for 2 nights), but there were all sorts of possible walks around.
A totally pleasurable place to stay.
The manageress Mona was friendly and great. However, They still have an old South African flag hanging in the bar. Personally I find this offensive as it is a symbol of the former regime. The restaurant was very expensive for the quality of food. I have no problem spending money on food but when a Roquefort salad is served with milk as the dressing and the leaves are floppy it leaves me cold.
