MY fiance and I have been coming here for years and we loved the quality and variety of the sushi buffet, it simply was amazing.

I don't know what the new owners are trying to do but they are destroying an amazing restaurant. They are in the process of stopping the buffet that kept them full. The restaurant was dirty, our table looked like it hadn't been cleaned after the previous guests had used it. The restaurant smelt like a public urinal. It was completely off putting.

Clearly we weren't the only ones who thought that as the table next to us also left and were seated after us. His comments and I quote were "This restaurant is going down the drain".

The sushi conveyor belt wasn't on. No sushi had been prepared, and just as well because the restaurant had a whole of 6 people in it. You guys have really lost your identity as an Asian restaurant. If u want to change to a steak restaurant please change the name. You guys are trying to be a Jack of all trades. PIZZA, STEAK,SUSHI,CHICKEN. PLEASE DO US A FAVOUR AND CHANGE YOUR NAME. That way you won't ruin the name of a good sushi restaurant that used to operate in this area. Where is your sense of pride!!!!!

Making a decision on what to eat when on holiday becomes a problem. Deciding to go the "Chinese" route brought us to Golden Fish. What a pleasant surprise! On entering we found a restaurant which was decorated tastefully and nothing of the "cheap" Chinese look. We were seated in the very spacious smoking area which also was close to the bar area. The waiters were pleasant and knew the menu well. The food was the biggest surprise. Some had sushi and some had "Chinese" dishes. Everybody felt the same - really nice! I tried the "biltong" sushi from the Farmers Sushi section as a starter and this is something I will go back for. We all felt the same - we will be back if we are ever in the area!

This place was a huge disappointment.

The service was terrible. Our drinks order watch totally botched.

The food order was wrong. And a disappointment as I really wanted that "Mushgargot" dish.

We waited for what seemed like an eternity for our orders.

It's a mystery as the place was not busy.

The waiter must have been just appointed or doing a test for an interview ;-).

No language proficiency. You tell him he must ensure the Salmon is well cooked and he asks you if you want it rare, medium or well done.

Won't go back. Ever.

The food is at best average and the service is non existing, best to avoid .

It could be a good place to dine however it would take some positive involvement by the managers .

A slightly over-exaggerated negative trend. I think after hearing people visiting lately that they are improving conciderably. We stuck to the sudhi menu. Not the all you can eat for R169, and I am quite happy about the variety and freshness. Service was top notch, thou we could see room for improvement in some areas. All in all, a well priced, nice sushi lunch that was completely lawless. Would return again for a second opinion!
