Visited for a group business event but turned it into a couples stay.

We upgraded to an Adobe Terrace Suite for a modest fee and did not regret it. Our suite was huge and nicely decorated. We wanted a living area separated from the bedroom and this is one of the few units that offers that.

Positive was the size of the unit - it was huge. These units are also to the rear of the property and very quiet. And while a bit out back, they are only a short walk to the main building and the conference center. Not an issue at all - even when hot. They do also offer a shuttle but we just walked.

Negative is that you back up to the fitness center and tennis courts so not a scenic view but they do turn the lights off at night and it was very, very quiet. Also, a short walk to Red's Tavern.

I would definitely stay in one of these units again.

We also considered one of the Oasis Terrace Suites but opted away from them as we were told that they back up to an off property bar. While they do, the area seemed very quiet. These seem to be worth considering as they front to the Oasis pool which is a very pleasant area. So, I would not shy away from trying one of these when we go back.

Not much in the neighborhood - very residential. That said, there is a super breakfast place just off campus behind the Oasis area. Same place as the off campus bar - but that was not open the night we went to explore it.

We found the staff to be very pleasant, courteous and accommodating. We had a great visit.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us, Preston. It’s great to hear that your business trip actually turned into a vacation and that you and your group had such a good time while you were here. The extra living spaces in our suites make a tremendous difference – they feel more like a home and can accommodate quite a lot of people very comfortably. It is always a popular choice for our guests. We appreciate your kind comments and hope that you will come back and visit us again soon here at The Wigwam.

Room was great and close to golfing! Had a hot tub to use in the winter which was great to use after golfing all day. There are different levels of difficulty with the golf courses and they are all kept in great condition. Staff is very helpful! The staff will give you rides on the golf carts to get around the resort. Golf package was reasonable for unlimited golf for each night of stay. Ask for Paul Besecker to help make your golfing arrangements he was very helpful and thorough helping to plan an amazing experience for my Dad's 75th bday trip! :)

What a great way to celebrate your Dad’s birthday. Thank you for including us, and we’re happy to hear that we met all of your golfing expectations. It sounds like so much fun, and we’re sure that your Dad enjoyed the experience. What a thoughtful gift to give him. Relaxing in the hot tub is a perfect way to end the day, especially at this time of year. We appreciate your kind words very much and will be sure to share them with Paul and the rest of our team. Perhaps this will become a tradition, and we will see you again next year for another celebration here at The Wigwam.

A whole group of us stayed at The Wigwam for work and not a single one of my coworkers liked the accommodations. Rooms are way outdated (I understand nostalgia, but old and worn out is another story all together), there are bugs EVERYWHERE. Little tiny mite-sized ants that march all over everything - the bed, the countertops, the walls, the bathroom. My bathroom sink did not drain and calls to have it fixed were never followed up. And the first night when I pulled the sheets back on the bed I found dirt and debris from the last guest. Just disgusting. I would give this place one star but the only redeeming thing about the whole place was Carlos at the front desk. His demeanor and attitude were a breath of fresh air compared to every other person (Brian and the main operator) at this establishment who all seemed irritated to be there. (Me too at that point.)

Room Tip: If I was forced to go back I'd avoid the casitas and go for a second floor room to avoid all the bugs.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns. It is disappointing to hear when a guest does not have a first-rate experience during their stay. I will share your feedback with our staff to ensure our focus is on providing only the best in customer service. We also take every claim such as yours very seriously, but it is difficult to address them in this forum. I encourage you to reach out directly so we may look into this matter further. Thank you.

We were a little underwhelmed overall. The resort itself is nice, and the lawns, gardens and pools are well maintained.

Most of the rooms are in need of some renovation, with the air conditioning more so. Given the higher temperatures in Phoenix through the year, it is important the air conditioning works, and in our case it wasn't. It took a day for the staff to realize that. We eventually were given a different room, and also provided a microwave to heat food. The rooms do not come with one, and there's an extra charge to get a microwave.

It would also help to have a little more lighting during the night. Many places are dark, and not easily walkable.

The front desk staff wasn't as friendly as would like, but they were effective. The housekeeping staff was friendly.

There are some restaurants in the resort, so you get to dine in or order room delivery. Not a lot of restaurants in the area deliver to this place, so a better option would be to order pick up.

Internet is available, but very slow. There are also golf carts that shuttle through the resort.

There is no better place to come anytime of year to golf. They have (3) 18 holes courses for all skill levels. Great Pro Shop staff led by Rick, Leo and Mike.

Rooms are great, staff is wonderful and they have (3) pools on site plus plenty of different food options to try!

I have been coming down since 2008 and I try to come down 3 times a year when possible. Perhaps, my favorite place on earth!

You’ve completely made our day, Scott! Thank you. We thought that a return visit was the best compliment of all, but to now be a contender for your favorite place on earth might have just topped that. We are extremely grateful for your kind words, and it will be our pleasure to share them with everyone on our team. Looking forward to seeing you next time here at The Wigwam.
