The tombs cut in the cliff faces overlooking the amphitheater are a sight to behold. Having seen many ancient sites, I was surprised at how much Myra captured so much in such a small area. If you are in the area, don't miss this.

Wonderful Lycian city of the dead. This city has a lot of leftovers from Lycian and Roman civilizations. Don't go there on a very hot day, It's not pleasant.

This place is just amazing. Anatolia is such a diverse region and Myra (part of Lycia) is a very particular place in it. The rock cut tombs show the conspicuous consumption within the region. The theater and dismantled parts of the bath complex are amazing to see. This is also the birthplace of Santa Clause. Therefore, everybody can find something interesting to see here. Definitely a highlight in Republic of Turkey.

Strange combination, but worth to see it.
If you like individual tours:
The distance from St. Nicholas church is about 2 km. The same entrance fee - 20 TL (0 with Museum Pass). This two sightseeings need only 2,5 h, including Myra's walking back and forth.

Of ancient Myra, little remains now but the theatre and the rock-cut tombs, but these are exceptional. The theatre is of Roman type, very well-preserved, and with a fantastic collection of theatre mask friezes, although not in situ. The later Church has wonderful frescoes.
