The house is an historic house from the BA's beautiful past and it's lovely to stay in. We stayed in a suite, with a delicate pink tone including the chandelier. The bath is a high roll top (not great if you are tiny, as you have to climb into it), and the shower tends to leak. However, if you ask for extra towels to put around the bath and actually tuck the shower curtain inside the bath, the leak is not a problem. The decor was great -- you felt like you were staying somewhere special -- and the bed was incredibly comfy with the softest sheets ever. A lovely little garden area is round the back, and jacuzzi (which wasn't in use while we were there as they were refilling it).
The staff are very friendly and kind (gave us a card to use the metro and umbrellas when it rained). The only downsides are the lack of windows (our room had a massive French door, but it opened out onto the lobby which guests used), and the breakfast ran out and was only there for the early risers. Other than that, we loved it and would definitely go back!More
