This apartment will give you the local feel of Buenos Aires. There are banks and restaurants very close, lots of small shops for food and a large Jumbo not too far away. The metro is also convenient although we didn't use it. We used taxis, and there was always one coming down the street right in front of the apartment so it was very convenient. The taxis are not too expensive either -- just not as cheap as the metro. The beds were very comfortable, the water pressure is good but you might need to wait a bit for the hot water to warm up. The security was exceptional; we felt very safe and other tenants were quite pleasant. There is a TV with several English channels, which was a nice bonus after a long day. The balcony is equipped with four chairs and has a nice drying rack for your clothes. Although there is a laundry room in the building, it is always busy and even if you can get a chance to use it, the clothes won't come out dry so you need the drying rack. We just washed out a few things in the sink. There are laundry services nearby that will do your laundry for a reasonable price. We were not very happy with the Wifi. It only seemed to work in the living room and then didn't work at all for three of the six days we were there. There were no adaptors in the apartment to enable us to charge phones, etc. We went to a local cell phone store and bought a phone charger, so that worked. Then we went to another store to buy adaptors to use for our computer, but when we plugged the computer in, it shorted out the electricity, so we were not able to use the computer. (The security manager in the building was excellent in helping us get the power back on and solve the problem!!) There were a couple of small things that needed to be fixed. I left a list for the management company, so I'm sure everything is taken care of now. Since our contact information for the management company was through email -- and the wifi wasn't working -- we couldn't really address them while we were there. I will say I was disappointed that no one was there to meet us when we arrived. The driver and security guard contacted the management company and someone came fairly quickly. The price is very inexpensive for this apartment and it is quite comfortable. The kitchen is reasonably well equipped, but there is no dishwasher so it was easier to eat out. The pool was very inviting, but we were so busy exploring that we did not take advantage of that. For me, personally, I would stay closer to the touristy locations next time but my friend definitely preferred the local experience. We had a wonderful trip!
We had some things we really liked about this condo and some things that were not as great.
On the plus side: the location was great. Just a block from the subway, a block from the outlet stores, and a few blocks down the street to some very nice local restaurants. The area was nice and we felt fine walking down our street at night.
The building was modern and had 24 hour security. It had a pool. The condo had multiple air conditioning units to keep it nice and cool in the very hot weather. The condo was stocked with all your basic amenities--towels, dishes, small appliances and good WiFi. There is free access to washing machines. The poperty management company was easily accessible.
On the minus side: The bathroom seemed to have needed a real good scrubbing. There is not really much privacy in the main bathroom as there is a large window overlooking someone else's terrace and no blinds on the window or curtains on the shower. The sliding door to the balcony was difficult to open at times. There are not many lounge chairs available by the pool, so if it's busy you must get there quickly or you won't have anywhere to relax by the pool.
Overall a pleasant stay.
With many options in the Palermo, this is a great area. Located on a quiet street, the apartment is walking distance to many shops, restaurants, parks, cafes, and public transportation. The building and the apartment are spacious, clean, and comfortable. Perfect to return to after a long day exploring Buenos Aires! The property management is available via email and cellphone. Ronan was reliable and promptly responds to questions, making sure all arrangements were in place for our arrival and departure.
We stayed four nights at this wonderful apartment. A family of four. The apartment is well maintained, clean and includes all the needed equipments. It is quiet and natually lit. The shared areas are also clean and a 24x7 security person opens the main door for you. It is located 20 seconds of walk from Avenida Santa Fe and one minute walk to the metro station. Major bus stops are even closer.
I would would recommend this appartment to anyone who's looking for a quality, quiet, safe and well located apartment in Buenos Aires.
