We spent 3 great nights at the Mine Hotel in the beginning of March. The hotel is well situated in a trendy area full of nice shops and restaurants. The staff go out of their way to help you and offered great advice on the neighbourhood and Buenos Aires. The pool area is a lovely place to have a cocktail in the late afternoon after a busy day of sightseeing.

We liked this hotel. We arrived here after 2 weeks in BsAs slightly jaded after hotel living. The room was comfortable and stylish with a view over the pool. Breakfast was not extensive but freshly cooked, with home baking every morning, and a little smoothy starter which was different every day. The garden was a lovely place to relax. The decor generally in the hotel was beautiful, and very clean. The area, Palmero Soho was attractive by day with plenty to do. At night I was slightly worried wondering as there wasn't much street lighting and the pavements were very uneven on places. We had heard a lot about street crime but saw or heard of nothing to worry us on that score. The staff as mentioned were helpful and told us when we could walk and when we should take a taxi. At the start of our tour we stayed in Recoleta, and the hotel was inferior to Mine, although still good, and was more expensive. However I felt safer walking around Recoleta, which was within walking distance on many attractions. Taxis are very cheap and the Subte is efficient so on balance would probably stay at Mine again for all its positive features, and would definitely advise Palmero to younger people for the bars and nightlife.

We booked two nights at the Mine Hotel at the end of a cruise. We arrived a little too early to check in but the desk employees took care of our luggage and were generous with their suggestions as to how to spend a few hours around town. We found this kind of wonderful attitude to be the norm in this gem of a little hotel. The hotel is air-conditioned which is needed during the BA summer.
The room was ultra clean and modern. The bathroom was decently sized and had nice fixtures. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of storage space.
The breakfast room/cafe is pleasant and has a view of the lushly landscaped garden with a small pool.
There is Wi-Fi available as well as a computer for guest use.
The attitude of the staff is unbeatable. They recommended terrific resturants within walking distance of the hotel and arranged taxis as requested.
Visiters to BA will consider themselves lucky to be able to stay at the Mine Hotel.

Stayed at the Mine hotel in BA for a total of 3 nights last month. The location is great in Palermo Soho and walking distance to boutiques, restaurants and nightlife. The room was on the smaller side but well-appointed and we had a terrace with great view of the pool/backyard area. We had an upgraded room and it had an excellent bathroom with great water-pressure and a whirlpool tub. DVD player was in the room and hotel had a selection of DVDs to watch which was a small thing but a nice touch. Breakfast was very tasty- pastries, cold cuts, cheese, cereal, juices and coffee-drinnks but in addition will make omelettes, eggs, pancakes and homefries.

The best part was the staff, which was top-notch. They were very accomodating and went above and beyond to help. I had left my wallet at a restaurant and the manager, Angela, took the time to find the name of the restaurant (it wasn't easy) and call over there for us to retrieve it. Furthermore, she said that if they didn't have the wallet she would call the credit card companies to help cancel my cards. When we were leaving we were in a rush and they packed a meal for us to take for our cab ride to the airport.

Will definitely stay there again and might move in if they let us!

I can't praise this hotel enough. We were lucky enough to stay here for 8 days in total (we went to Uruguay and came back to BA again!). The staff, rooms, location, pool area, food - all FANTASTIC! The rooms are all different and beautifully decorated with loads of room to unpack and relax. The staff couldn't help us enough - they booked restaurants, boat trips, taxis - anything we wanted! The breakfast - mouth watering! The pool area and lounge are so comfortable that you could easily lose a day just sitting there! Location? Just bliss - it's like being in the centre of Greenwich Village in New York or Paddington in Sydney! And then there's the little extras - chocolates on your pillow every night, daily weather updates, a daily news paper from your country at your door every morning and premiership football to keep the boys happy!!
