This is a simple but excellent parrilla restaurant. The meat is succulent and the service very good. The quality of the food is comparable to fancier restaurants with double the price.

We had a wonderful meal at this restaurant. I had the Cordero Patagonico and my husband had a steak. They were both excellent. They way you order salad is a bit odd. You pay for each added vegetable...and make sure you order the lettuce separately, otherwise you'll get a 'salad' of nothing but a huge bowl of shredded carrots. We did miss good vegetables when we were in Argentina but you really go to Mi Viejo for the meat anyways, which was delicious. The two side toppings to eat with the lamb were both excellent and the meat was very tender. This was our first experience with traditional, Argentine grilled meat and we very much enjoyed it.

We had a lovely dinner at Mi Viejo recently after striking out at 2 other steak places--the first steak house we went to didn't have filet of flank steak that night (you know the feeling when you have some particular food in mind and can't get it, like getting to the pizza place only to find that it's closed), or the second place didn't bother to come over to our table after we had been sitting for over 15 minutes.

So we walked a little far afield (over the bridge we were told) and we were glad we did.

Big menu, big wine list, big on flavors and light on the pocket book.

Go check this place out, you'll be glad you did...

Happy trails!

Great restaurant to try "Cordero Patagonico a la estaca" (Patagonic grilled lamb), a classic dish in this area: you have to taste it. Friendly staff, cozzy place and reasonable prices.

We came here after we read a recommendation on a local site..

We've had a fillet and a lasagna.

I've ordered the fillet to be done medium, but it arrive over done and close to medium well. It was done without any seasoning and had tasted only of meat (I mean that in the bad sense, like bland meat).
The french fries were really good!

The lasagna was good, finally someone can make good Italian food.

Our waiter didn't speak any English.
