We came here for Spring Break, attracted to the pool options. We hit a bit of the perfect storm around Spring Break colliding with Easter. This hotel was more like a Club Med than a proper JW Marriott experience. The pool was very overcrowded, pool staff couldn't keep towels stocked or garbage picked up. Overall service in the larger hotel was good but the main event is the pool and it's a mess. Guests squat on chairs, service there is spotty and takes forever, chairs are on top of each other. So crowded people were laying in the grass. If I was here on a business meeting, I'd be pretty upset with people throwing footballs in the lobby and outside on the patio. DJ blaring outside room. Mayhem. Spa was great but facility is a bit outdated. Adult pool very nice and a good respite from hearing kids yelling. Kids club is top notch and staff there was excellent, Great food options, just expensive and recycled menus.

Room Tip: Stay away from pool, weird egress to and from pool, lots of walking

I’m not a golfer and as far as I can tell, there’s nothing walking distance from this hotel. So I wouldn’t stay there personally with family. I do go there once a year for business events and it is a nice hotel with a JW level of quality control. Big enough for a business event without the getting-lost aspect of a Gaylord hotel, for example. Their gym facility is in need of expansion and an overhaul, was very crowded. Also, they don’t. Open it until 5am. That may sound reasonable, but in their time-zone, anyone coming from the east coast or Europe (like me) is ready to go early and it’s not great that you have to wait until the rest of the west coast crowd shoes up to get your workout in.

The hotel is located on grounds conquered from the desert, next to a green golf course. Our room was good, with a small balcony where we enjoyed the sunset every night. The hotel entrance was open and friendly, and the outside bar area very accomodating. We enjoyed the pool areas and the Conference facilities.
A drawback was the staff at the check-in desk; they managed to split my hotel charges in two, unasked for, and were unable to reverse what they had done - so my bill looked very amateur made when they were done - I needed a normal, professionally looking bill for my accounting.

Room Tip: Ask for a room towards the pool area

I reserved in early January for a conference being held at the resort in late March. The day I arrived I was told that they had overbooked and I was being sent to a different hotel. Lesson learned. This hotel is first come, first serve. Reservations are meaningless.

Room Tip: Choose a different hotel

Restaurant Point hosted us and we were able to golf ad see the LPGA Tour meet some of the golfers like Michelle Wei and Kristen Kirk. Very beautiful destination I never felt like i needed to go off property. ALL you need is there food was incredible the lobby bar was fun and relaxing. Fire pits just outside the lobby bar took the chill out of the air.

Wild Fire Golf course and staff were awesome.

Some fun games ladder golf and corn hole and a few other thing to do.
Hats off to the staff!

Room Tip: I was on the 5th floor with a Desert Mountain view sun rise over the mountain was incredible.
