After a strenuous and physically exhausting hike up Camelback, we all decided on brunch at Hillside Cafe/Spot. The venue is big, open and doable. Not much privacy, great for big groups or having conversations that aren't intimate. It's also located in an outdoor shopping mall ish kind of thing. If it weren't for our native Arizona friends, we probably wouldn't have stopped, but we're glad we did. All their food is FRESH!! And nothing is nuked :-)
Food: Very good. All our dishes came out delicious. Other reviews here have been mixed. Maybe we were just so hungry from our hike, but we really did enjoy the menu items. There were 9 of us, so I can't recall all the dishes but I do recall that quantity and quality was very good.
Staff: Very good. They were crazy busy at the time, but didn't ever leave us hanging. Our waitress was friendly and helpful.
Definitely will be back. And we came with some locals - who love this place, so that speaks volumes in our magazine!
