Can one person make the difference in your stay? YES! David, the Chief Concierge, did a great job. He treats everyone as if they are the only one at the resort and that they are the most important person there. All of the staff was great. They were always friendly and tried to do whatever they could to make our stay the best possible. The resort was clean and we always felt safe on the grounds. The pool areas were clean and kept in order. Service around the pool areas was just right. They were there but not in-your-face all of the time. The food was average in quality and quantity. Seemed like the service was a little slow at times in the resturants. Maybe because we were there to eat and run and not there to socialize.

We have a family of 5 with 3 older children. We also have two people with special needs. One has autism and one is on a gluten free diet. They made every accommodation possible to make our stay perfect. Of course they couldn't make it warmer so we didn't get to use the wonderful pool area they have. The lazy river, pools, and recreational facilities, tennis and basketball and exercise room, looked great. But it was too cold to go in the water, even though it was heated. I have never met anyone at any hotel as accommodating as Carol. David and Eric, the concierges. They felt like family. Never felt like I was putting them out with all our special requests. Only con is that everything besides the rooms is fairly expensive. The restaurants, bars, gift shops, coffee, etc was pricey but there are a lot of fun places to eat in the area so you don't have to eat there. "The Hole in the Wall" restaurant manager, Tammy, did assure us there would be gluten free options for Thanksgiving which was very nice. We went to the spa at the Intercontinental Hotel nearby, I think it is called Joy Spa. I have been to many spas and nothing tops this. After your massage there is a "whisper room" you can go to and lay in the most comfortable beds and relax without any noise and drink tea or sleep, etc. It is great to be able to relax after a massage and not have to get up and go back to real life. You pay more for the services there but it includes the spa which has dry and wet saunas, terrace pool, etc. Treat yourself to this place. It is coed too so the guys can go. Also, the Ranger tours with AZ Hummer were very fun. You get to drive the Ranger and the guides.owners again were very accommodating to our needs. So if you ever take a trip to Phoenix stay here and tell them we say HELLO>

This is our ninth stay at the Hilton Pointe Squaw Peak and the property is the best its ever been. Altough its been consitently wonderful, the management has recently raised the bar. The resort has mastered the delicate balance between a world class resort, highlighting all the expected ammenities seasoned travler would expect from a five star resort providing a respite from the grind of frequent travel and the reward of treating my children and wife to the luxury of a destination resort offering service and fun. The Pointe Squaw Peak highlights all the postive attributes of the Valley of the Sun. Nestled on the western slope of Squaw Peak, the afternoon sun showcases the meticulus native landscape with palms and catus, , the faux western town, the waterfall and fountains of cascading water put us in another world. It was as if we were on a moive set of showcasing the absolute best of the west.

Outside our room was a semi-private pool and jacuzzi so my kids were able to enjoy the relaxing water in the evening hours. The Hole in the Wall resturant served 1st class food and western service. The staff at the River Ranch provided activities such as a water slide race and hula hoop contests, as well as a movie shown at dusk on a big scren brought in for the event. The tennis courts were in great shape, and the minuture golf was fun as always. The tempurature during our stay was chilly – (even for us cold hardened Coloradians), so we really appreciated the management kicking up the heat on the pools.

There is no better value to treat a family with children of all ages or a couple looking for a get away. Some families plan their vacation with a hotel as a base and make side trips to attractions. For the price of a hotel room, the Pointe Squaw Peak gives you the total package – large comfortable rooms and plenty for the adults and kids to do on property. Highly recommend this resort hotel.

PS – I recommend the hike up Squaw Peak. It’s a relativly sturdy hike, 1.3 miles up (45 min hike) and only 2 miles from the property.

This was our ninth consecutive stay at the Squaw Peak Hilton during the Thanksgiving holiday. I grew up in Tempe and my family has since moved to Gilbert. We celebrate Thanksgiving at my brother’s house – quite a party with 30+ family members! My wife and kids so enjoy the hybrid of vacation at the resort and family time in the east valley.

This trip, I noticed a different attitude on property. The Hole in the Wall menu and staff was better; the River Ranch was better, the property looked sharp. Ricco’s was an improvement over Lantana Grill. The room was clean and the hospitality staff very attentive and courteous. Something has changed at the Squaw Peak Hilton – and it changed for the better. Good job to the management and the whole staff.

We recently visited the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort for a couples vacation. We stayed in the Casitas and were very happy with the amenities and cleanliness. It was just awesome to have the roof top deck and a pool right outside our door. The cushioned chairs at our pool were the most comfortable deck chairs we'd sat in!!! We also enjoyed the water park and mini golf. We ate at the Hole in the Wall (good food but our server was really put out on having to serve us!) and Ricos (great bar and food). I'd also recommend walking over to Aunt Chiladas. The hiking was right out the back of the hotel and was very challenging. Overall, we'd recommend this hotel and would love to visit again!

I've been visiting the Squaw Peak Hilton for 15+ years. The service and accommodations consistently exceed expectations. Facilities were recently updated and reflect Hilton’s quality. This resort provides the greatest value: comfortable, clean, and spacious rooms; a perfect spa and fitness center; and multiple pools. This is the perfect family or adult getaway. Enjoy the pancakes at The Hole in the Wall restaurant. David, the conceierge, arranged many enjoyable dinners and giudance.
