My room at the Heritage House was clean, contemporary and spacious. It had the standard refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, flatscreen TV and free wifi, but no continental breakfast. Room looked like it had been remodeled fairly recently but did have some scratches in the paint suggesting the work wasn't done this year. Bathroom and closet were large by older budget motel standards.
Bed was firm and comfortable. Furniture was in good condition, somewhat of a rarity for budget lodgings. Room had both a desk and a small table with 2 chairs, proving plenty of work space.
There's no lobby but a small front courtyard to sit outdoors. It's a small facility and was quiet even though at full occupancy.
Although desk and table space was quite adequate for business travel, there is a shortage of electrical outlets (typical for older facilities). A desk lamp and nightstand lamps with electrical outlets in the bases would be most welcome.
Parking area is small but sufficient. However, there is a bump at the edge of the street and then a steep climb for several feet, so my car bottomed out each time I pulled into the parking lot.
I was in town for a conference at the Prescott Resort a mile down the street, where the "conference special" rate was double the Heritage House's. I didn't need a "destination," just a place to sllep, shower and store stuff for three nights. The Heritage House fit the bill well and I'll stay there again.
