This is a standard Best Western hotel, nothing fancy, no frills and therefore $400 per night is simply not worth it. The beds were way to soft and the breakfast was below average. Even though the location is excellent, I would not stay here again. I cannot recommend.

Room Tip: Higher floor rooms facing the creek have a great view, but not worth the price.

My first experience at this hotel was the friendly staff. Check in was easy and we took the elevator to our room.

The rooms are good. They are not luxury, but the room was was nicely furnished. Our room was a good size which had a couch, a desk, a dresser and a closet. The TV was a nice size and offered an extensive cable package which I have not seen in many hotels. The bed was a king and was very comfortable. The rest of the room had everything you would expect in a hotel: Keurig coffee machine, a safe, hair dryer, charging station, etc. There was also a refrigerator, which is always a welcome addition for me. The bathroom was a little small when stepping out of the shower, but not really a big deal. You can tell that the room was older at one time, but it is now updated. Once again, it is not luxury, but they approach it with many of the thoughtful touches.

Our room also came with a balcony. It had two chairs and a small table which was perfect for sitting and having a drink. The view from the balcony was great. Part of it overlooked the parking lot, but it gave a great view of some of the beautiful red mountains in the distance. We spent quite a bit of time on the balcony when we were in the room.

In the lobby there is coffee and tea offered, which was nice when returning from a walk. There were also postcards and stamps which made it easy to send out our messages to friends and family. As I stated before, the staff was very friendly and helpful with anything that we needed.

There is a free breakfast in the morning. It offers what you can imagine: bacon, eggs, waffles, pastries fruit, cereal, etc. It served its purpose.

Other amenities in the hotel included a heated pool and access to an auxiliary rec. center on an adjoining property, which I think is a time share community and unaffiliated with the hotel. It had a heated pool and games like ping pong, billiards, etc. There was also a sauna and weight room. Since I think it's mostly a retirement community I don't think they're that welcoming to kids running around and making noise. Several signs let you know this. It kind of had a weird vibe, but it was decent.
One big advantage to the hotel is the location, which is in the heart of the downtown Sedona. When we went (in March) there was a ton of traffic, so it was nice to have free parking and a good spot to walk around and see the downtown area. It is close to lots of shops and restaurants, but I have to say most were not to our taste, and we enjoyed most restaurants that were in West Sedona and a drive away, but even with traffic, it only took 10-15 minutes to drive. Overall, the hotel is in a good central location with beautiful views of the red rocks, and a good jumping off location for biking, hiking, spas, eating, shopping, and tours.

Sedona is a tiny town that seems to be inundated with a popularity that can overwhelm it at times. There are only a limited number of hotels and resorts in the area and this one fit our needs and even exceeded my expectations at times. Besides the good location, I could tell that a lot of thoughtful touches were added to give hotel guests a great experience.

We loved our stay! We had the creek behind us which was very peaceful. The villa was amazing. loved the fireplaces and the fact that it had 2 bedrooms and 2 ½ bathrooms. Great for a family of 5. The grounds were very nicely kept and offered a lot for kids.

Hello Monika2127. We are glad that were able to enjoy our peaceful and tranquil villas. Oak Creek is beautiful and we are one of the very few hotels in Sedona to provide a private access to it for our guests. See you again very soon!

Friends had previously stayed here and it was a great recommendation. Clean, well appointed guest rooms with pretty good free breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful. Stay on backside to avoid street traffic and wake up to beautiful view of red rocks!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. We had access to the attached villa as well. Staff very friendly! The location was perfect in Uptown Sedona. The views from the balcony was unbelievable especially during sunset/sunrise.
