This is our 8th year staying in the cabins at Grayton Beach State Park. Our family of six adults, five teenagers have visited for a week at a time. We get two units side-by-side. I have rated the cabins before always as top notch. Cabins are clean, pretty well equipped. Even though linens are provided, we bring our own towels and at least bottom sheets for the queen and twin beds. We cook all of our meals in the cabins, bring our own utensils such as waks and electric griddle's. Also, use the barbecues but have now used grill mats because they are generally pretty dirty.
But the location and sunsets are so great. This part of the state park is unusual because access is limited to residents of the cabins. So pretty much we have 3/4 of a mile beach to ourselves and a few other people. Very natural, fantastic sunsets, it's great for walking.
The cabins are set well apart in the woods, there is no view of the ocean and no TVs. Bring games.
There is a nice handicap access walkway over the dunes from the parking lot, to which you can walk from the cabins, or drive. This year the park installed new plastic fabric walkways on the beach to help access.More
