In the middle of the block, behind the trees and beside an old building tucked away is La Flor. What an absolute delight. Went with another couple and were amazed. Their soup that came wi the meal was a creamy veggie soup like Mom used to make. Hubby ordered their breaded shrimp platter, the rest of us ordered their daily special that had a taco, chili relleno and a enchilada with beans and rice. Awesome!!! The first bite to,d us this was authentic mexican. Absolutely delicious through every bite. My only complaint is that the chile relleno didn't have the seeds re,over and was too hot for my palate. But there was oodles to eat ...and the bit I did have was super !! Is is definitely a will come back type of place.
Now for those of you bent on atmosphere...there ain't none!!! Just get over it and go for the food. The place was packed so service was a little slower, but that is to be understood. But it was a Wednesday night and the place was very full. So that is a testament to the quality of their food. And very reasonably priced!!
