My sister and I stopped here for a drink and lunch and it was a great choice for the atmosphere. The patio area is brightly colored and full of plants and happy people drinking margaritas. We got the frozen peach margarita which was really good as well as the table side guacamole (super fresh tasting) and the fried plantains as a little side. All that with the chips and salsa was more than enough food for a reasonable price. Our waitress was amazing and gave us a bunch of recommendations of places to go. It's on the very, very end of the downtown area so it's a bit out of the way but if you get a chance to stop here, I would!

Four months agoI thought the food was out of this world, this time not so much. Two Taco's with beans and rice for $13 is a bit much. Margarita tasted alcohol free as well. Likely will not go back for a while.

This restaurant sits on a hill (like everything in Eureka!) and has wooden decking in about three different levels. It is very nicely decorated with plenty of color, and they have fans going, plus you're in the shade, do even when it's hot out, it feels very comfortable! The food was great! I had trouble choosing from the items on the menu because it all sounds so good!! I will say parking is challenging. It's so tight you can't really turn around, and have to reverse down a steep hill into oncoming traffic. Just save yourself the hassle and walk or ride a trolley.

We arrived before 6pm, inadvertently hitting their 4:30-6:00 pm Mon-Thur early bird specials. Comfy booth, attentive service from a really sweet girl, good salsa, tasty chips and plenty of jalapenos on request. I got the big five item plate of traditional TexMex items; tamale, enchiladas, beef taco, a big chile relleno, refried beans and rice. The plate was beautiful (see pic), served in a reasonable time, very tasty and served hot. This biggest plate on the early bird menu was $10.50. A real deal for fine TexMez.

Dress casual for this outdoor dining experience. The restaurant is built on a hill and parking can be tricky. There's a fun view of the road below with ceiling fans swirling overhead keeping you cool even in summer heat.

Service is good but busy. Their menu is a cut above normal Mexican fair. The taste of their food explodes on your first bite. You won't be shorted in the flavor department.
