Oldest pastry shop of the Canary founded in 1916.

Nice old school deco. Lots of seating and different rooms.

Excellent service by the owner (we asked to taste three of their classic pastries and everything he chose was fantastic). Pastries are served on a silver elevated platter, very stylish.

Wow, the taste of those pastries, amazing... I would pass by Orotava just for that!

We've previously read about their cakes, and it was a pleasant surprise that they also serve food. We had tried their fish soup (sopa de pescado) and the salted cod with onions and potatoes (bacalao cebollada con papas arrugadas) both were perfect, home-style dishes, (although bacalao can be a bit of acquired taste), then we had some sweets (they're also delicious) and two coffees with condensed milk. Two soups, two mains, the sweets and coffees, and a big bottle of water costed 36 euros, and it was money well spent. One more thing: if you enter from the cakeshop, go and look for the garden, you first cross a dining room, then the kitchen area, then a partly covered terrace, but don't stop there, there are seven tables in a beautiful, lush garden, the perfect spot to spend some time.

Cannot comment re food as only had coffee and cake, but what a lovely place. The staff were lovely and the cakes are to die for.Plenty of choice to pick from which made it difficult for us so we were greedy and had 2 each! It was recommended to us prior to our visit and I can now understand why. Very close to the botanical gardens so easy to find. We did see quite a few people eating meals which were plentiful and Looked very appetising. Prices were very reasonable too.
