We had a great time as a family in the cottage. The property is perfect for children and has everything you need. The location is perfect to explore the Cuckoo Trail.
We were very disappointed when we found out check in was 3pm but made the most of our time in the local area. We wrongly assumed check out would be a bit flexible but on our day of departure a very intrusive man arrived and simply walked in on us while we were packing up - it was 10.15am. He rushed us out of the cottage, complaining as he did so that he could have had a lie in if he knew we would still be there!! He told us that there wouldn't be any other guests arriving for another 3 days - so it was really disappointing that he made us feel so bad that we were a little late getting out - and with a 10 month old baby it would have been nice to have had some flexibility.
A disappointing end to an otherwise lovely holiday.
Wonderful cottage full of character in a lovely setting in the countryside - utter peace and quiet. Every amenity is provided that you could possibly need. The cottage is very spacious and extremely comfortable and even has a log burner. Ideal location for many tourist spots in the area. Great for dog walking as well. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful.

The cottage is very spacious and has every home comfort you could possibly want. It is ideally located to explore Sussex and Kent but in a peaceful countryside setting so perfect for relaxing or exploring.
There is a large lounge/dining area and a well equipped kitchen. Two bathrooms, one of which is en-suite, both with showers.
Both bedrooms are roomy and have plenty of storage and hanging space.
David the owner is very welcoming and has helpful tips about the local area and beyond.
This is our 5th visit to the cottage and I can't recommend it enough. It really is a lovely place to stay.
This cottage is just perfect. If you think it looks spacious in the photos, you won't be disappointed. There's a large kitchen/dining/living room area, a nice family bathroom with bath tub and shower, a bedroom with two single beds and a large bedroom that you could dance in if you wanted to with double bed and ensuit bathroom. Everything is clean and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well equipped and even provides a dishwasher. There's garden furniture in front of the cottage that is probably really nice in summer (we didn't use it in October).
Most of the time there is no mobile phone signal in the cottage, but wifi is available in the living area (it doesn't reach the bed rooms).
The location of the cottage is great as well, you can get to Brighton, Birling Gap, Beachy Head, many castles and other historical sights in no time and have nature and nice walks just around the corner.
David, the owner, is very friendly. We even found a little basket with wine, cookies and tea when we arrived - really appreciated that. Definitely recommend staying at this wonderful cottage to everyone!
