Straight off the quirky Rock to Padstow ferry and the Padstow Harbour Hotel is a short walk away in its prominent position overlooking the harbour and characterful Padstow. A friendly welcome and good Covid Protection measures including a piece of equipment to measure our personal body temperature at Reception.A lovely large room with excellent en-suite including bath and shower supported by lovely White Company toiletries. Good breakfast with table service and good range of choice beyond the ubiquitous ‘Full English’. A really good choice!

What a wonderful review, thankyou so much Peter! We couldn't have written it better ourselves. But in all seriousness, we really appreciate the time you have taken to give us this positive review.

We struggled to find a hotel room after lockdown and spotted this hotel on Booking.com. We only booked for one night and it was not a cheap deal. The room was lovely (Room 51, no sea view), the bed was comfortable and we looked forward to a good nights sleep ( on a walking holiday). But there was no air con and the window was tiny and it was a warm night. I asked for a fan in the early hours and the night receptionist apologised and was very helpful. The morning receptionist also apologised saying the hotel rooms do retain heat. It was disappointing and I can’t imagine what it must be like in the height of Summer..
Such a shame as we liked the hotel and assumed there would be air con

Thankyou Frances for your feedback. There are very few Hotels which have air con installed in our locality, it would also come at a huge expense and cannot be considered in the foreseeable future. We do provide fans in all rooms and thankfully we are usually able to rely on fresh Cornish sea breezes.

Amazing 5 night stay. Lovely, comfy room. Helpful staff. Good food in restaurant.. a very relaxing stay that wasn’t spoilt by the bad weather. Can’t think of better place to stay. Restaurants in the area get booked up so suggest pre booking tables.

Room tip: I can imagine in peak season traffic and parking will be hard..this year more than ever! Pre book restaurants

Lovely review and we are thankfully we are operating with very high occupancies at the present time so you're right in your advice to book dining tables well in advance throughout Padstow. Thankyou!

When we arrived, I thought the Padstow Harbour would be a slam dunk for 5/5. The décor is sparkling and new, with high-quality fixtures and fittings, and the staff were lovely and surprisingly well-organised considering they’d been so long out of practice.

Dinner was enjoyable and well-presented, if not remarkable, and breakfasts were plentiful and efficiently served.

The location couldn’t be better, just steps from the harbour and the town centre.

However, there were a few niggles and for the price we paid I found these a disappointment.

The only public place to sit is the bar/restaurant which is not terribly comfortable or relaxing. A nice cosy lounge with some squishy sofas would be so appreciated taking into account the British weather. We were lucky in that we had a large room and could use that, but I gather the standard rooms are quite small so this needs to be taken into consideration. I feel a comfortable reading space would extend the season and make the place more intimate.

Housekeeping was very haphazard and the room was often not cleaned until around 4pm, with numerous items in the bathroom not being replaced or replenished.

The internet connection is hopelessly flaky and as so many people now carry their work with them, this can be an issue.

Car parking is a serious challenge and again, for the price, I feel adequate parking should be provided. Yet part of the plot, which could have addressed this problem, appears to have been sold off for redevelopment.

I found the hotel to be too busy – a bit like Victoria Station in the rush hour – and this was exacerbated when there was a wedding in progress which encroached on the public areas.

Thankyou Amazonian, clearly a mixed review of sorts am I am pleased that there were aspects you both enjoyed and appreciated. Your feedback relating the ground floor layout is valuable, so thankyou for that. In the near future we are hopeful of a re-design of this space which will incorporate some new alfresco dining space which will alter the present configuration. With regards to parking, and like other businesses in Padstow, parking is of a premium and it just about works for residential guests arriving by car. Next week sees the installation of a new parking APR system which we remain hopeful of deterring unauthorised parking of vehicles.

We stayed as a family with young children and the staff couldn’t do more for us. Our 11 month old caused carnage at most meals and they were so accommodating.

Great location with easy access to the town even with a pram. Wide selection of breakfast items and staff lovely.
