Fabulous cottage, very large for a 1 bedroom, the photos don't do it full justice. Everything from the cosy log burner, fully equipped kitchen, sunny and warm conservatory and the garden, which we were lucky to be able to enjoy with a spot of warm spring sunshine.. Had a lovely walk from Branscombe to Beer at the recommendation of the very helpful and friendly owners, Steve and Angela, who also kindly left us beverages and other goodies. We hope to return again sometime soon.
Once again peace, perfection, home from home,Our 2nd stay, wish it could have been longer.Lovely to see Angela & Steve again.Look forward to September when we return for longer stay.
This is the second time me and my husband have stayed in Lane End Cottage and we would definitely stay again!
The cottage is sparkling clean, and very big for two people. There's a room with a small library, two bathrooms and a lovely conservatory where you can look out into the garden with a view of the wildlife. A beautiful log burner keeps you warm all day and night. There's lots to visit around including Lyme Regis and Exmouth.
A massive thank-you to the owners who are so lovely and friendly, leaving a bottle of wine and some treats for us!
We were very lucky to find this cottage, and will definitely be staying here again!
My husband and wanted somewhere to stay for a couple of nights while we visited family. What a mistake!!! We should definitely have booked for a week!
We received a warm friendly welcome from Angela and Steve like we'd known them forever. They could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. Their cottage is beautiful, warm, spacious and clean. There is a log burner which was already on the go when we arrived. The large kitchen has everything you would need and more. And the bed..... The bed really grips you and doesn't want to let go, the best sleep I've ever had away from home.
Outside there is a huge garden to roam around or just sit and watch the many wild birds that come to feed on the bird tables.
I will definitely be going back to the cottage and will recommend anyone to go there. Our stay was absolutely perfect. Thank you Angela and Steve
Honiton, Axminster and Lyme Regis are 10 minutes away, they're all approached via lovely country roads. There's a street market Tuesdays and Saturdays in Honiton, and there's always half a dozen places to eat in Lyme, as well, of course, as Bob's Sanctuary Bookshop, where - if you love books - you'll spend more than 20 minutes and more than £20!
