Great location and the building is lovely, we were seated upstairs and it was a Friday night. Friendly staff who obviously care a lot about the business which shows and is nice to see.
Ordered gluten free pizza and it was really nice, often hard to find good gluten free choices and this place offers gluten free pizzas and pastas, several options of each.
Very enjoyable evening, reasonably priced and plenty of parking just opposite the restaurant. We will be returning.

First visit to this charming place last night(Sat) Three of us attended. Greeted by a lovely young lady who along with her colleagues were charming and efficient throughout the evening.
We went for a selection off the wide ranging menu, opting for the asparagus risotto for starters, very yummy followed by chicken Caesar salad while my friends went for the pulled lamb and belly of pork. The food was very tasty, plentiful and very pleasing to the eye. Deserts were equally as tasty as they were in looks.
This place is charming and you are guaranteed an excellent meal in lovely surroundings, wether it's a meal for two or a group of friends please pay a visit.

My Wife and are Vegan and after researching around the local area we decided to go to this restaurant. We were staying in Bourton on the Water, which is a 40 minute drive away but after having read reviews we thought why not. We called before we arrived and spoke to a delightful lady who told us that lunch would stop serving at 3, which worked great for us.

When we arrived we weren't greeted at all, not even a hello. There is a waitress there who doesn't wear glasses who is just plain rude. We ordered our food and drinks. When the glass for the drink arrived it had a liptstick stain on it. When my wife told the waitress she didn't even say sorry! She just said "oh" and then gave us a replacement glass. I mean this is just terrible customer service. She should of at least said "I'm terribly sorry about this" or something along those lines.

Thankfully, I didn't have to communicate any more with that waitress as she was terrible at her job. The waitress with the glasses is wonderful, she should be the one training all waitresses at this place.

With regards to the food, it is below average in our opinion. We had the following:

- Sweet Potato Fries
- Vegan Pizza
- Vegan Pasta

The sweet potato fries didn't work with the yogurt drip. The yogurt dip was made from Alpro Soya yogurt which made the sweet potato taste like a dessert. It's probably better to use a vegan mayo for the dipping sauce.

The Pasta was a basic dish which didn't impress. The Pizza was poor, the base was like a quiche. You can get a better vegan pizza at Pizza Express and The stable in Cheltenam.

The price for the Vegan food at this restaurant is extortionate. It's ridiculously over priced for what you get.

I would not recommend this restaurant to any vegan.

Thanks You for taking the time to write your review and post such wonderful photos of our restaurant, we think its wonderfully charming as well but it's such a s shame that the interior photos didn't capture more guests as we've just had our busiest quarter of business in over 14 years of trading and have been serving between 400-500 covers each week with wonderful reviews from a whole range of customers.

I'm delighted that you chose our restaurant out of all of the restaurants not only in Nailsworth but between Bourton on the Water and our lovely town. There must be quite a few "Vegan Specialists" within this catchment and yet our simple but passionate offering attracted you? Perhaps it was that charming building again?

I do hope you got to enjoy the other independent shops in our magnificent town and it wasn't such a completely wasted journey?

Fortunately, our superb team is supported by staff who return from university for the summer and the waitress "with glasses" who "is wonderful" is one of those who has been with us for over 3 years and she looked after you. I have fed back to her and thanked her for her wonderful commitment and service. It's just a shame that this went unnoticed in your review grading don't you think?

Our latest review from Trip Advisor has just described the other waitress you mentioned as "charming and efficient" and I could scroll through many other reviews to find similar quotes that highlight her professionalism, commitment and enthusiasm for the industry written by very satisfied customers who back up our opinion of her.

A review that followed your visit described us as follows:

"This place is charming and you are guaranteed an excellent meal in lovely surroundings, whether its a meal for two or a group of friends please pay a visit"

We find your comments very strange as they are completely contrary to the vast majority of reviews that we receive but understand you are welcome to your own opinion of us but please be aware that you are in the vast minority.

I love this place. Mainly the fresh vibe and warm welcome you get from Paddy. The food is excellent especially a bacon sandwich on a Friday morning and stunning cup of tea :-)

Good food, very friendly service and no complaints. If I had any reservations it was perhaps that the menu was a little limited and the bar slightly understocked. Recommended nevertheless
