Had an early evening mid week family meal and really no issues. The service was fairly quick (lunch times and later in evening it can be exceedingly slow). Waitress was friendly and efficient. Large selection of meals on board and menu. Chicken & rump steak plus chips pretty good. Real ale scores poorly and certainly wont get into a good beer guide. Good value food provided there are even number of you to get 2 for 1. Good place for kids. Reasonable children’s menu, small outdoor play area and chose table to the left when you go in. Children’s area with a couple of interactive screens on wall and paper plus colouring materials

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback.
at busier times during the day it does have an effect on the time taken to send out food we do try to communicate this to our customers should there be a wait, we are glad there was not much of a wait on this visit and you enjoyed your meals.

We arrived as a family of 4, two adults and my two young daughter's aged 5. We were on our way back from a lovely day out so handnt booked and was greeted by a very unfriendly lady called Kate who was the supervisor (blonde hair)
We were shown our table to be told there was an Easter egg hunt on and for my daughter's to find sparkly eggs hidden then to exchange them at the bar for a real egg. Our food came which we couldn't fault and was bought to our table by another member of staff who was very pleasant and friendly. My daughter's were so excited that they'd found the eggs to be exchanged for a real Easter egg. One of my daughter's was handed one but my other daughter was shouted at quite abruptly by Kate the supervisor saying she couldn't have one as she's already been given one which was not the case. Then to be told the other eggs were for other people and not her!!! My daughter was 5 and didn't understand this as her sister had one.
Great family place great food but seriously unless Kate was having a bad day... her attitude and people skills especially towards families and young children need addressing. Very unprofessional and damn right rude! Shame staff like her let the good family pub down! And for your information kate my child didn't get an egg!!!

In all honestly was not expecting much with reading reviews. Party of 4 adults 3 children met up for sunday lunch. Lovely atmosphere extensive menu. Only gripe I would have was time to be served around 45 minutes. However our roasts were plentyful and very tasty. Service times seem to be a common complaint so need to be looked at but no issues with the food at all.

Hubby and I bought mother here on Saturday night. Booked a table for 7:00. From being seated to leaving it was less than an hour. I had heard rumours that the service was slow but we had no problems with this. Staff were friendly and polite and took our orders quickly after they had bought our drinks. The food was cooked well and was hot and tasty. We didn't have starters or desserts but will be back to try steak night.

Have visited a few times. Excellent car park but could do with more disabled spaces.
Service is acceptable for a pub. Jordan has been our server several times as has Beth both of these people have an excellent manner about them.
The food is appropriately priced and the spare ribs are fine.
I do not know if the policy of only booking a table in the evening is possible but only if there is a party of 8 or more is still in force. If it is consideration should be given for abandoning it as not many people wish to "chance" getting a table especially at the weekend.
