Have eaten here 10+ times over the years for both lunch and dinner and true to form the food was faultless and a straight 5 stars. Never had a disappointing meal here ever. However on a busy Easter Sunday night the service fell apart. Six staff were not working to stations so all six staff served our table at various points so poor service ensued. Errors included a dirty champagne glass, initially warm wine (rectified rapidly) though after the initial tasting we had to pour the rest of the bottle throughout the meal (as did the neighbouring tables), tap water smelt and tasted heavily chlorinated, 10 minutes to clear the main course plates and another 10 to get the dessert menus, delivered another tables desserts to start with and ours came separately. Finally they made an error on the bill though quickly sorted in our favour. Would still return without hesitation as hopefully a one off but hope they sort out the service as this has always been a favourite of ours though sadly not living up to the former Michelin starred glory. Total: a generous 4 stars.
