We wanted a few days away and found this b&b on TripAdvisor. The reviews were all good and reasonably priced. We were greeted by them on arrival and shown to our en suite room. There is only 2 guest rooms the other has separate bathroom so quite cosy. After a chat we were offered a hot drink and also given a lovely slice of homemade Victoria sponge cake that was really nice as Carol makes them herself. Lovely cuppa in a pot teapot. Hubby had a coffee (which was proper ground coffee ) served in a Cafetiere..... hope its called that. Everything is great there from the bed/pillows/shower etc there is nothing to fault. Breakfast was delicious cooked just right....Thank you Adrian. ☺ All in all I could carry on and on but I'm sure anyone will see there is nothing negative about this b&b. We would stay again if my arthritis allows...... In the future. Thanks to you both for a really nice break.

Room Tip: Seaview from en suite room.

If you are into sea. Beach mountains. Flat walks .Hill walks.then Grantham house is ideally situated.
Only a short walk to town / beach and railway station.
We were warmly greeted by carol and Adrian. Followed shortly by tea and biscuits with apologies that cake was finished off by Adrian.!
Recommendations of where to eat ( and that it was popular so eat early.)
NOT a standard impersonal room lots to look at.
Ensuite Big bath .fluffy towels choice of bath products spotlessly Clean
Extremely Comfy bed
Breakfast in what would have been the front parlour on family table so we met the only other guest there( only 2 room b&b). Menu lots of choice but We only choose welsh breakfast on both days absolutely first class.
Carol & Adrian are brilliant hosts.

Just back from a 2 night stay in this lovely B&B, we were warmly welcomed with a tray of tea and cake. The room was delightful as well as warm and comfortable, we had a huge bathroom exclusively for our use, soft fluffy bathrobes provided. Breakfast was excellent, Grantham House is a little gem and is to be highly recommended.

We had a perfect stay at Grantham house recently. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room had a luxurious and thoughtful feel. We're so happy we chose to stay here as it made our weekend away simply perfect. The decor was stylish and full of character, and a great talking point. The breakfast was amazing, full of local produce and tasty preserves. We used Barmouth as our base for hiking, and found Snowden an hours drive to the north, and Cadar Idris only 20 minutes South.

Grantham House was very easy to recognize from the stunning array of multi coloured flowers growing at the front of the house. We had a lovely welcome from Carol & Adrian who then provided freshly brewed coffee and gorgeous home made chocolate cake. Our room was the double at the front of the house, with a beautiful en-suite that looked brand new. The chairs in the bay window were great for relaxing and due to a week of exceptionally good weather we were able to look out to the sea in the distance & watch some amazing sunsets each evening.
The road outside was quite busy but we always managed to get a parking space. The complimentary tea, coffee & hot chocolate was regularly replenished and the accompanying biscuits were better than anywhere else we have stayed. The little extra touches at this b&b make it a class above most others. The information book in the room is crammed with leaflets and helpful information & there are travel books and magazines about Wales too. The TV had a built in DVD player and there was also a very good hairdryer. Everything was immaculate and I cannot think of any negatives.
Breakfast is excellent - the full Welsh is really tasty if you can manage that much, but for me the pancakes and maple syrup are out of this world! It is rare to have them as an option in a UK b&b and they were so moreish! Cereal, fruit juice, yoghurt and real home made fruit salad were also on offer, plus home made bread.
Another lovely touch was the impressive selection of china. Each morning there would be a different set of china cups, saucers & plates and another lovely colourful teapot, along with beautifully patterned serviettes.
Grantham House is well situated as the town is a short walk away. The beach is also only a short walk and there are eating places close by plus a post office just along the road.
