The Everest Bistro

Description: We have a cosy lounge area with sofas for a more casual visit. Our restaurant hasn't got a dress code and is done with elegance front facing the mountains. We have outside seating on our sun trap terrace being surrounded by the black mountains.

The chef coped admirably with dinner for a lady of 97 with a small appetite as well as two people with good ones. Service as always was friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel, dog friendly, friendly staff. Evening meal was excellent. Breakfast was a little slow being served as it was cocked fresh, but very nice on arrival. Overall a really nice stay.

On a car ride from Brecon to Abergavenny we stopped at this imposing hotel set above the main road for an afternoon cup of tea and a cake. We sat on the terrace as the weather was warm and sunny and enjoyed the wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. There are plenty of parking spaces here on two levels and if the weather is not as good the inside terrace lounge is very comfortable to again enjoy the lovely views. We spent a very enjoyable hour in this peaceful location and will definitely call again when passing.
