The staff here is outstanding! Extremely helpful with our entire stay. Gave us recommendations for backpacking, restaurants and shuttle services. Made for a comfortable and relaxing experience. Great location and cozy rooms.

Excellent lodge / hotel with a very situation in El Chalten.
Large rooms quiet, very clean, well equiped and above all with super beds.
Very good service and nice people both at reception and for the breakfast.

Nicely designed room using bricks and wood. Very, very helpful and kind people at the reception. When you leave, it seems you make part of the family. Breakfast was very complete and the area includes pictures of the most important and difficult world mountain climbing (El Chalten is a sort of Chamonix, lot of people walking in a sportive environment).
If one point may be improved, it's some finitions like door locks but it remains a fantastic stay

This was the perfect place to stay while we were trekking in El Chalten! After a long day of hiking over 18 miles, theres nothing better than coming back to El Puma and relaxing next to the fireplace and chatting with other travelers. The rooms were very comfortable as well and the tub with the bath-salts provided was a great touch for soaking tired muscles. The restaurant is also very good, especially when you don't want to go into town after a long day, though if you did it's just a short walk down the road. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Next time we go back we will definitely be staying here again!!

Large, comfortable room in excellent location for starting the trails. Friendly and helpful staff. Only concerns are that the lunch box was big enough for 2 people and we had ordered two of them. As they were quite expensive this was a bit of an issue. Also, on returning from a very wet, though wonderful, walk, we found that there was nowhere to hang and dry out our clothes which we needed for the next day. As this must be quite common for El Chalten it would be handy to have a drying room.

Thanks a lot for your comments!
Too bad you did not find a place for drying your clothes.
Havent you tried to hang your wet clothes in the bathroom, where there were a place just for that (towels or clothes)?!

Kind regards
Hosteria El Puma team
