I stayed for two nights at the renovated Imperial Hotel and the rooms were very good. However, dinner during my two night stay was just awful ( as I told the restaurant manager) and since the principal Chef from South Africa left, the restaurant is almost empty and the quality of food and presentation has seriously plummeted. I order freshly grilled Talapia from lake Victoria but got frozen and rotten fish fried up with rice. I won't go into details of the second nights food. Other than to say that if the hotel wants to attract residents back to the restaurant- it needs to do something urgently and dramatically,
