Description: Like a suitor singing a love song meant to woo his sweetheart, our on-site restaurant Serenade aims to win your heart with flavors that are guaranteed to tempt your taste buds. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Chef Luciano Merlino has created a menu that combines his 35 years of experience in Italy with fresh, local ingredients to present a cuisine that is truly unique. And don't forget that any time you are in the mood for a drink (which could be anytime, because, hey you are on vacation!) We invite you to enjoy the festive atmosphere at our bar while sipping on a signature rum cocktail served up by one of our mixologists.

On Wednesday nights the restaurant is attracting a lot of people - the Mongolian cuisine is on the tables. Its fun to see how it is prepared (just in front of you in the open kitchen). But the best part is when you choose yourself of what you going to eat - and every Wednesday you can experiment with your choice until you will hit the jackpot - the best choice of Mongolian mix in your plate.

Wow! Thanks so much for the 5-star review. Mongolian Grill is for sure the favorite of many and we are so glad you agree. Don't forget about the all you can eat desserts, too! YUM

Take care.

We often eat a tropical salad at lunch time which I liked more than my wife. To sit there at lunch time is nice.
We eat about 5 times at dinner time and the food was ok but not more than average.

Our family ate here since we are staying at the hotel. Breakfast is included with our room, so we had breakfast here everyday. A small, european-style buffet with a made-to-order omelet and crepe bar. Food is basic and nothing special. If it wasn't included in our room, we wouldn't come back ;)
We ate dinner here one night and found the menu to be very expensive compared to the other restaurants we have tried in Cabarete so far. Food was average, nothing to get excited about. Service was okay. Atmosphere is very nice and romantic. Spray your feet and ankles with bug spray before you go!

Thanks for giving us our candid review. We are sorry to hear that you thought our offerings were basic and expensive. That is not generally the type of reviews we are given, but we understand everyone has different taste and expectations. We are for sure not a gourmet dining restaurant, but we have a veteran Italian chef who has been with us many years and we have a broad menu that covers many tastes and price points since we realize people come from all over the world to visit Cabarete. Again, we are grateful for your feedback. That being said, we would like to explain to others what our breakfast buffet offers in the case they reach this review because, of course, we think it offers the best variety of any breakfast in town. Beverages: fresh mixed tropical juice made every morning, coffee, and array of hot tea choices. Fresh fruit and veggies: these are seasonal but almost always include pineapple, mango, watermelon, papaya, bananas (sometimes more based on season), tomatoes and red onions, avocado. Deli meats and cheeses: a selection of ham and turkey and 3-4 different types of cheese. Fresh baked breads: a large selection of bread such as white, wheat, raisin, croissants, rolls with and without sesame seeds, and more. Also includes butter and an array of jams. Made to order crepe and omelet bar: for the crepes we have Nutella and chocolate syrup. For the omelets we have ham, cheese, onions, peppers, olives. Since this is an all you can eat buffet, you are welcome to drink and eat as much as you want.

This restaurant deserves a lot more recognition than it gets on this site. I have been going to Cabarete for over 20 years and have tried almost all of the restaurants there. This restaurant belongs in the top 5.Chef Luciano cooks with passion and emotion. I go there for lunch and have the Mero(Bass) filet, which is always a fresh and delicious generous portion. Each night there is a different special type of cuisine. Friday is Lobster and Shrimp Night. Dominican food on Sundays .Many buffets during the week. The prices are reasonable. On the Beach slightly away from the hub.

This is a great place to stop for lunch or diner. An extensive menu full of great dishes prepared by Chef Luciano Merlino.
Three nights a week there is also a theme night : Mongolian BBQ on Wednesdays, Shrimp and Lobster on Fridays and Argentinian Grill on Saturdays with live music. You might be lucky to hear Chef Luciano singing some of his favourites.
Staff are friendly and efficient. Food is very good.
