We found The Plough@ Mryniong following a suggestion from a friend."Its a lovely place for the family to meet half way"
With family in Melbourne and Daylesford, it was an ideal place to meet.
It was more than ideal...it actually felt like a 'Get together at Home'.
Mark and Ruth were so helpful, while I was planning the Family Get together.
We all arrived to be greeted in such a friendly way by Ruth and our Waiter, Michael.
We were placed in the room downstairs which was just perfect, as the table arrangements were perfect for us to move around and catch up.
We had decided on shared platters and they were all delicious.
Main meals equally as yum......salmon, pork, calamari...
Duck risotto was a popular choice...only downside..it was so delicious that they could have eaten more!!
We bought our own cake , as we were celebrating our family's Jan - April Birthdays. But desserts looked pretty yummy!
Michael was sooooo helpful when organising courses and was very attentive to everything needed.
Thanks The Plough @Myrniong, we had a great Get together .
We'll be Back for sure!

This iconic bluestone building is rich in history in the local area that includes photos and framed newspaper articles from the early 1900’s/ late 1800’s, on a Sunday the restaurant was fully booked including the private dining room and the function room, the food is perfect comfort food and I would love to come back in the winter with the roaring fireplace going. We loved the atmosphere, the friendly staff the food and the wine. It is about an hours drive out of Melbourne on the fwy and you can pop into Bacchus Marsh on the way back to pick up some fresh produce on the way home. They had a pulled pork risotto and beef from some of the local producers, in fact we didn’t have room for dessert as the meals were filling, loved it.

Not often is the Service outstanding but it was yesterday.
We had lunch there after a film and were very impressed by the knowledgeable and focused staff.
We had the Duck special and the pumpkin linguini followed by a couple of very indulgent desserts and accompanied by a McLaren Vale sparkling red - all excellent.
The restaurant is wheelchair friendly.
Thoroughly recommended.

Wow, we so enjoyed our dining experience at The Plough, Myrniong. Food, service & atmosphere were excellent. We opted for the locals 3 course menu & couldn’t fault it, calamari entree, beef & wine pie, followed by irresistible sweets. All staff especially Tom, were friendly & went out of there way to please us. We will be back with friends & would love to try the Degustation. Well done!! Marita & John

Three siblings returned to their childhood territory. It was a wet, cold Friday and we decided to have lunch at the Myrniong pub as we knew it from yesteryear! What a treat. Staff saw the senior girls hobbling along, door was opened for us with a very warm "welcome". We informed the staff that we had returned to our childhood area! We were shown around the Pub. Then, we were seated right near an open fire, heavenly. The meal was delicious. We left very content and continued to go down memory lane.

Room Tip: Would recommend making a booking if dining there at weekends.
