The hotel was shown as not far from the JR station so we decided to walk there. After some time of wandering we couldn't find the hotel. I called the hotel and the manager couldn't describe how to get there and suggested we take a taxi and that he would pay for it. So we went by taxi only a few blocks and when we got there the manager came out and paid the 540 Yen fare. I thought that was amazing. Mr. Matsumoto was the manager who later helped us with bus schedules to Asahidake and also finding a sporting goods store where we could buy stove fuel. He speaks good English. The room is fine although not large and breakfasts are good. We ate dinner one night at the hotel and enjoyed that too. The hotel is not in the correct location on Google Maps. The coordinates are: N43.76719, E142.35960, WGS84.

A Ryokan is a traditional Japanese accommodation which typically features ‘futon’ (folding mattresses) on ‘tatami’ (straw mat) floors. Many Ryokan are known for their public baths (typically "Onsen" hot springs) and their traditional cuisine. 24/7 front desk service is not guaranteed for this accommodation type.
Will stay 2 nights here. The room size is ok in Japanese standard with strong shower. It's closed to Jr station and very cheap. We just paid for 3800 yen per night. Same as the price for dinner we paid for.

It is located straight to the JR station, of about 3 junctions. Its entrance is very small and easy to be overpassed. The staff however are unexpectedly good in English speaking and they helped A LOT to our stay in Asahikawa. The only thing that we were unsatisfied was the room size. We booked a double room and the guestroom was so small that we couldn't open and tidy up our luggage case on the floor.
