Not a bad choice

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 5 Aug 2017via mobile
For budget reason, I have decided to use Asahikawa as a base and travel to Furano and Biei everyday. There are two Toyoko Inn both situated in the east side of the JR station. For this one, please cross the main road, walk straight for another block and look at your right. This is a in a quiet area as the AEON mall and outdoor shopping area are close to the west gate. Staffs are friendly but English is limited. Not a bad choice if you cannot afford to stay in Furano during busy season.

Like most Toyoko Inns, location was convenient being a five minute walk from Asahikawa station...efficient check in and out...the usual simple breakfast was provided...Hokkaido locations also offer curry dinner on week nights...

Toyoko inn has always been my favourite hotel to crash in. Clean and near the station. If you are looking for a luxury hotel, please look away. Toyoko inn is a business hotel with clean environment. Staff is very helpful, can borrow iPhone charger if you forgot to bring one. Good for backpackers

Have stayed in Toyoko Inns around Japan and this is one of the same standard. Clean compact rooms ( eco-double ) and nice simple Japanese breakfast. Easy walking to the shopping street mall and restaurants. We had a car which we parked at the multi-storey revolving carpark behind the hotel for 3 hrs Yen 300. After check in at 3 pm, parking fee was Yen 500 till check out. Recommended.

About 7 minute walk to Asahikawa station.

Parking lot is right beside the hotel. It was 1000 yen for 24 hrs.

Room was small as any other toyoko inns but as every toyoko inns do, I really like their free breakfast service.
