Conveniently located across the street from the JR Asahikawa Stn. and Aeon mall, this business hotel is a good place to stay while visiting the city, especially if you plan to use public transportation to go visit the zoo or other locations. The hotel is newer than the surrounding hotels, clean, provides free wifi and amenities. The bed was comfortable and the bathtub was just the right size for my 5' frame. I enjoyed a nice soak in the bath using the free bath salts offered at the front desk. The room comes with a single serve drip coffee and electric kettle. Breakfast was the complimentary coffee and rolls bought from the bakery in the mall across the street. There was a hiccup when I checked in, apparently someone at the travel agency missed filling out something on my itinerary. The staff at the front desk took good care of me and I was checked in and given my card key in no time. My stay in Asahikawa was a good one. Mind you, the rooms in business hotels in Japan are really small. But they are a good and cheap option if all you need is a clean room, hot shower and comfortable bed.
