It was an old ryokan in the central of Asahikawa, near to all restaurants and shopping area and also Asahikawa station (10mins walk).

Greet by lovely old couple who runs the ryokan and also a cat. They welcome us with hot milk and Royce chocolate. I was surprise to have one room for sleeping and another room which is living room with tv. The ryokan is very clean indeed.

They provide yukata and full toiletries amenities with towel. Only one bath room with onsen tub so everyone will have to take turn but toilet consists more than 1.

Public refrigerator is outside our rooms and they provide bands with name tag for us to name our own food that stores in it.

They have a room only for smoking which consist of fan, table and chairs.

When I check-out they even gave us a small gift consists of candies and origami. Such a lovely couple and I wish them longevity and happiness!

Will stay here again when I come to Asahikawa!

A rather old place with multiple Japanese style rooms. We got 2, one for lounging & one for sleeping. Clean & organised. Shared sinks, toilet & bath. One of the cheaper stays in Hokkaido. Parking is provided. Great location, within walking distance to the shopping street & many good restaurants nearby.

The highlight of this place has to be the hosts. Friendly, helpful & hospitable. They made sure we were comfortable & settled in. Welcome hot tea & biscuits were a treat. They have their own map which shows all the nearest restaurants, cafes & shopping spots. Definitely recommended if you are heading to Asahikawa.

This is the home of an old couple - traditional Japanese style, old building but very clean and cosy. It was a delight to see the eyes of my family brighten up as we're shown to our traditional Japanese rooms, followed by warm milk and snacks.
Hospitality and warmth of the hosts are just as good as higher priced ryokans. Home-cooked breakfast is delicious and exceptionally good value. Free kimono to try on every night, just ask the owners.
Good location, a short walk from Asahikawa shopping/eating streets. Manager also recommended a ramen shop extremely popular with locals that was amazing!

Room tip: Rooms are on the second floor (stairs only), so avoid bringing heavy/bulky luggage

Outstanding. The hosts were the most lovely, helpful people and the highlight. We'd highly recommend this accommodation. Traditional Japanese style, very clean and tidy with delightful little surprises. Also highly practical location with everything you need from restaurants to transport close by. We'd stay again in a heartbeat.

Room tip: They are all great rooms

One of the highlights during our skiing holiday was the accomodation at mimatsuso. Traditional style rooms very nicely done. However, the highlight was the hospitality which started even with our very flate arrival. Everything from the little details through to driving us to special onsens, to walking us to near bye traditional restaurants where locals eat. Can't recommend the wonderful owners and their friendly care enough.

Room tip: Room 1 had great light and morning sun.
