Description: We are a small, family-run freehouse in the picturesque town of Little Budworth in rural Cheshire. Seasonal, locally-sourced food of excellent quality, inspired by traditional pub food and the rustic cuisine of South West France to be enjoyed either within our newly restored interior or our large beer garden. Cask ales, premium spirits, ridiculous cocktails and even some home-made liqueurs.

Recommended to us by a friend who lives locally and we were not disappointed! Warm friendly welcome, lots of wagging tales and happy families just chilling in the sun. A game of cricket going on in the next field and the front courtyard full of people enjoying the wood fired pizzas. We ordered three plus the amazing home made chips (like chips used to be!) and a deliciously fresh house salad. Great choice of beers too. Staff were all so friendly and helpful - we loved it and will definitely be back. Almost reluctant to spread the word about this hidden gem!

A lovely old building hidden away down a Cheshire lane. Very friendly staff and local customers. A deserved CAMRA award winner with excellent beer choices, and good freshly cooked food. Prices probably average for the area - certainly not expensive. Good facilities - lots of fresh flowers in the ladies' loos apparently. Check opening hours before you go, the first time we went it was closed, only opens lunchtimes Fri/Sat/Sun which is a pity, presumably insufficient demand at other times.

Camping down the road so decided to pop in for a drink on the way back from a walk. Found the young bar staff very friendly and welcoming. As the place was so pleasant and accepted dogs we decided to return that evening for a meal. Again found the staff to be very friendly. Good choice on the menu and an expected price for Cheshire. The Pub is very old and the character has been maintained. No games machines or blaring televisions just a roaring fire and mismatched furniture.
