We spent two nights at this hotel. The Hotel is on a quiet street and the front faces historic buildings and the back a view of the valley and mountains. We were in the garden suite which is comprised of two floors - with the bedroom and bathroom upstairs and accessible by a circular stair case. The downstairs sitting area has doors which open onto a lovely garden with a lily pond and fountain. Another plus was free and strong Wifi. As others have noted there isn't any air conditioning (like many European hotels). The hotel did provide us with a unit that generated cool, but not cold air - but it wasn't enough to cut through the 80 degrees in our room. The rooms are impeccably clean, but as others have noted, very dated. Also our water pressure was not very strong. Many people come to stay and dine at the world renowned restaurant which was truly glorious. Breakfast, however, may need a bit more attention. All in all, a pleasant stay.
