We ended our three week vacation in LA at this boutique hotel in Beverly Hills. Great location for what we wanted and a welcome change from the mega hotels.
As always the people make the difference and one in particular was a delight to deal with. Tiwana (sorry if incorrect spelling) was one of the most genuine people we met during our US travels. Because of her I happily rate the stay a 4/5. Why not 5...the rooms were smaller than expected, fairly tired but most importantly we paid max rate (through an agent in the hotels defense) and witnessed multiple people checking in over the three days we were there at a far lower rate AND get upgraded! Made us feel like we were 2nd rate guests and left a sour taste upon checkout. The manager Sar is a nice chap and tried to appease me.
Thanks to Sar, a lovely lady at reception on our final day and of course Tiwana. If I was a local in business I would poach her in a minute as she is a huge asset to any employer.
