Unit was roomy, clean and well appointed. We had a 1-bedroom unit. We had 2 full baths and 2 fireplaces. The kitchen was well stocked. Modern appliances, modern bathrooms. Plenty of towels and linens.

We have visited the Lodge many times. We love the fireplace after a cool walk through the Big Bear neighborhoods. Nice staff. The game room has some fun things to do. The kitchens are well stocked with all the appliances you need. Will definitely go again.

Nice and quiet place to stay for a short getaway. The suites are large and clean. However, there is no elevator and climbing 6 flights of stairs in that thin mountain air can be challenging for those not used to it! There are also instructions posted on the wall explaining what to do if the power in the kitchen went off. It seems the modern appliances are a challenge for the old building. The lodge is located in an area close to the village, grocery stores, restaurants, and places to play in the snow if nature hasn't supplied it.

The resort is located on the main road running through Big Bear. There are good dining options within walking distance. A great time to visit is during the “straddle” season which allows for less traffic and people during the week.
