This is a lovely, comfortable and very clean apartment with a well equipped kitchen. Jannine was friendly, helpful and answered our queries promptly. We also appreciated having safe parking right outside the apartment and shops within a short walking distance. I would definitely recommend this place to friends.
The location was perfect for visiting family with my grandfather actually born in a house in the village. Jannine was very helpful and prompt with dealing with an error that I made when booking the dates and quickly corrected this for me. Clear arrival instructions. Jannine very kindly conisidered our needs and added an extra comfy chair for us which my dad quickly claimed! The apartment was light and airy and very clean. Parking was easy. I wouldn’t hesitate to use this as a base for family visits in the future so it is likely we will be back.
This was our second stay at the Wheathampstead Place Apartments, but this time in the upstairs one. Once again we were delighted by the comfort and quality of the apartment and how well equipped it is. For a family of four it was an excellent base for exploring the surrounding countryside and visiting family and friends. I'm sure we will be back.
We are lucky to have had family stay here twice now and couldn’t fault it. We don’t have enough room for them to stay with us but this is like a home from home. Great location service and facilities just perfect.
What a great place to stay! The space was modern but with its original ancient charm and was super clean and comfortable for my weary family after a long flight and drive from the US! It was a stone’s throw (2 min walk) from an amazing bakery, pub, tesco metro (for supplies!), charming tea shop and a wonderfully picturesque river to feed the fish and very friendly ducks! Our hosts were great too and left bread, butter and milk and checked in on us to see if we needed anything! They even let us check out Kate and communicated with us every step of the way! We rented a car and parking was great! (They have 2 spots right outside). we drove to St. Albans station (about 15 mins away) for an easy train ride into London. When you have 2 small kids this was definitely the most humane way to see the big city!
Can’t wait to visit again! A real gem!
