Ive been here twice recently in preparation for a trip to Japan (I thought it could be wise to try sushi before going). All the small starter plates and sushi rolls were so tasty and the soy sauce is incredible. My idea of raw fish has been totally turned upside down by this place and now I can't wait to eat sushi in Japan.
The main meals are great too, we had steak on hot plates which means you can cook them to your own liking.

Definitely worth a visit when in Perth!

We've been going to Tsunami for years and have never had a bad meal. My father is hearing impaired and they are responsive to turning the music down and placing us separately from the rest of the tables when requested, although it is bound to be busy and noisy on the weekend evenings. One of the greatest things about this restaurant is the sense of humour of the chef - the menu includes a star rating which coyly suggests that chicken teriyaki is the 'safe' option! There are some slightly unique Japanese dishes, including using 'hot rocks' to cook up beef etc. Definitely worth a look!

Love this place!

Went for dinner on a Friday night to be welcomed by a pianist on a grand piano. Too cute.

The food is very tasty and the waitron was keen to recommend popular dishes, although the menu indicates which foods are "firm favourites" and which ones to "avoid" oddly enough.

The pork sliders with Asian slaw were to die for and the hot stone cooked meat with Japanese sauce was our firm favourite!

Not the cheapest of Japanese restaurants but if you enjoy three sharing plates and one main dish which we also shared with two glasses of prosecco, it will set you back around $80-$100.

lovely choice of fresh food, cooked well or not at all, depending on what you order. Just the way it should be at a good Japanese. Wait staff were attentive without being intrusive. Knowledgable and on hand with some excellent recommendations. Will return. Good atmosphere and a good mix of Clientele.
