Bodega Bay became a "fallback" destination for us when the wine country wildfires broke out in early October and we could not get to our initially planned accommodations in the town of Sonoma. We had to come up with a 'Plan B' while in transit to San Francisco and we came up with Bodega Bay Lodge and we are happy that we found this place based on a quick internet search and a telephone call to confirm that they were open and largely unaffected by the fires.
Our single king room was clean and spacious and the room was comfortably furnished, including a Keurig coffeemaker. The room also had a fireplace (we didn't use) and a balcony.
Bodega Bay is a quaint little fishing village with the added attraction of being fairly close to a number of nice wineries in the Sebastopol area. The Lodge also had several local wines for tasting in the lobby each evening. We also had a very good breakfast at the on-site restaurant (Drakes).More
