Tasteful and tastey. Not as loud and fun as Encinitas, but the food is outstanding. Just like being in Italy! All of Vigilucci's restaurants are a good bet for great food. ATtentive staff. Can't go wrong

“Not worth it”
Reviewed 28 February 2012

The only thing good about this restaurant is the view from the outside patio. The food is ok, but highly overpriced for the value that you get.. Plus, they did not have the seafood salad that night which is my favorite!
We ordered sparkling water thinking we were going to get Pellegrino. Instead, our waiter brought out a glass water bottle with the Vigilucci's logo on it and the water inside was clearly soda water from a machine. How sanitary is that?
Don't think I will be going back.

“Fancy Dinner in Carlsbad Village”
Reviewed 19 February 2012

Great restaurant in Carlsbad Village. While parking right in front of it might be a little tricky, there is plenty of parking around - no big deal. We reserved a table and it was really busy on a Friday at 06:30. Great specials - I had the Filet Mignon and couldn't have been happier. Also ordered the Creme Brulee and it was heavenly also. With wine, salads and desert I would definitely say it's a special night price-wise, but absolutely worth it. Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable about the wines and menu. The manager is around and it seems that they take pride in their restaurant and menu. Highly recommended!

“OK, but nothing special”
Reviewed 9 February 2012

There are many places to eat in the Carlsbad area. This one is worth a try but it probably won't motivate you to return before trying others.

I had pasta with vegetables. It was tasty but the outer food was cool and dry (not so good) while the inner was moist and very hot (good). I guess it sat for a time before it was served.

Outside of the food temp issue, the service was excellent, especially the bus boy. He was very attentive but not over the top.

The dining room has a mild musty smell, I got used to it after 10 minutes.

Considering the food and the cost, I place the value at average. For two people... one appetizer, two entrees, two desserts, two beers the bill was $85.

“A Great Last Night of Our Visit Meal”
Reviewed 21 January 2012

We had rented a condo in downtown Carlsbad and decided to try Vigilucci's for our last meal of our visit based upon the ratings and reviews on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed. The meal and the service were excellent. We will definitely be back.
