It was a beautiful walk to the ocean. We talked with two docents before and after our hike. We say seals and incredible colors in the ocean.

“Awe and serenity at the power and beauty of crashing waves and cliff-edge cypresses”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 March 2012

A nice cold walk on a very windy day...but there were many nice things to see: 1. rock formations, 2. beautiful shades of turqoise and blues of the water, 3. wildlife - we saw sealions basking in the sun and playful otters bobbing up and down, and very tame deer just feeding around us on the trail, 4. beautiful cypress trees on cliff edges and 5. my favourite - the huge waves/surfs crashing, with beautiful white spray and foam! There was a great sense of serenity and yet awe at the power and beauty of mother nature.

“Awesome views”

Beautiful day in Carmel and we discovered Point Lobos state park for the 1st time. Wonderful hiking trails with breathtaking views of the ocean. Very helpful docents along the way. The best part of the hike came at the end - watching whales, dolphins & a raft of sea otters. Don't miss this state park!

“Super views”

what a great place to walk around and be one with nature! For car entrance it is about $10 or you can park your car along Highway 101 and walk in for $1 per person. Great way to spend time with the family for little cash :) Also plenty of spots to see otters and seals!
