Its been almost a year since I went to Moonstar with about 25 relatives. This time in July , I attended a group meeting and it was held in the back corner of this restaurant. They were kind enough to locate about 30 plus people and held a meeting without interfering with other diners.
So I went about to review and check out the food stations for any drop in qualities and quantities of food.
There is still was a wide range of fresh Japanese sushi and seafood salads. Seems like they also added some different sushi and tempura. And, Then there was a noodle station. A chef stil can boil up ramen, seafood noodle, fish ball and cake, and won ton bowls! Next to it was a grill station, a sign detailing the type of steaks: salmon steak, tuna steak, beef rib eye steak, and more for patrons to order. Of cause, there was Indian bread, Filipino garlic breads, etc. available too.
There was a whole variety of condiments, wasabi, hot sauce, soy sauce, pepper sauce, garden, vegetable and seafood salads for all to fill their plates. There was the rest of the food stations and saw a huge displays of black bean clams, lobster legs, sweet and sour ribs, fried noodles, dim sums, buns, huge fried shrimps, numerous bowls of vegetables, and goodies hidden in a corner!
In summary, there's more varieties of Japanese sushies, better dessert cakes, high qualities of tasty food. Services have not changed much, but for the price one cannot beat it in the Bay Area!
