While I admit it was a Wednesday night, the place was slow. The Mahe sushi roll was excellent. The Mahe Mahi dinner was pretty dry.

We were here for dinner on a Friday night. The poke was fresh, and had some spice to it. The swordfish and mahi special were delightful! So tasty and flavorful. The ahi tuna salad was good, but not great. It would have been better if it had more veggies than greens included in the salad. The music was really loud inside, so we sat on the patio so we could hear each other talking. Overall, we had a nice time here.

My impression is that the restaurant is known more for its sushi and traditional service, as there are only 2 of the ‘family seating’ style cooking tables, which is where we ate.
Our chef was very entertaining and very good. While I’ve seen most of the ‘tricks’ (flaming onion volcano, shrimp tails tossed into the air and caught on the chef’s hat, etc.), our guy made them fun. As with most of these meals I’ve had, the chef is very quick, and certainly the food arrives on your plate very hot.
Soup was good, nothing special, but certainly not a detraction.
We did take advantage of their ‘early bird’ seating for dinner, and we were very impressed with both the quality and the quantity of our entrees.
Very highly recommended!

This is a nice restaurant located in near but not facing the harbor but located in a strip mall with number of other shops. It served the Japanese as well as seafood meals. Happy our drinks and appetizers up to 6 pm was a bonus for us. We did not like the high table setting in the bar area and happy hour items did not apply to restaurant side. The server put us on outside with regular table so that we could use happy hour items. Seafood entres' we ordered were really nice and so were the appetizers and drinks. The outside temperature was ok for us to seat out.
