Five us dined here on a recent Friday night. Great atmosphere, professional service. Great wine list. We all enjoyed our meals. Great old school , classy ambiance and the prices were reasonable. Will definitely return .

It's cute in here and they do try, but the food is mediocre. Then again, I've never had good Italian food in California.

My husband took me here for my 50th birthday and it was absolutely wonderful. The place was really crowded when we arrived (on Friday night, the 15th) but they seated us fairly quickly and the service was pretty good. I got the feeling that had we been locals or had gone there more often, our service would have been a bit more personalized, but being that it was our first time, we had no complaints. It's a very cozy, romantic place although the night we were there it was pretty crowded and was kind of loud with all of the conversations going on. The staff was really nice and they sang Happy Birthday to several of the partons in true "Italian" style. We had eaten at antoher Italian place in San Clemente that was highly recommeded but we actually found Luciana's to be a better deal and a much nicere atmosphere. We splurged on this visit with desert (apple cinnamon cheesecake... Didn't sound that great when I ordered it but wow, it was good), but had we just come here and ord4red entrees and drinks it still would have been a great deal compared to other restaurants. Will definitely return the next time we are in Orange County, which I hope will be soon. Thank you, Luciana's for making my 50th birthday so special!

We visited here as part of a visit to the beach areas and from a recommendation. On arrival we had to wait for a while before any one came to ask if we'd booked. Which we had. We then had to wait a while before we we shown to a table and eventually given menu's. This was a real shame as the food was lovely, though you won't rush in between courses and the waiter's themselves, were very good. Overall experience says I would go back again and hope that the front of house got themselves organised and remebered that the customer is the person to be impressed and not left hanging around wiothout an apology. Better luck next time.

We celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary here on a Sunday evening. We got 2 seats at the bar right away and ordered a drink, by the time we took our first sip they had a beautiful table in a corner outside on the patio ready for us. Maybe Californians don't like to eat outside but we are from MN and it was a gorgeous night, with NO BUGS!
Our waiter was very attentive and friendly without being overbearing. We ordered the deep fried green beans...YUM! We also had the linguine Luciana which has lots of delicious seafood in it, and the Salciccia all Griglia (the sausages were really good!)
Dinner comes with whipped butter and a bread basket. The wine selection had something in all price ranges in both red and white. We also finished the meal with a nice scoop of pistachio gelato which was really good.
We would definitely go back if we ever visit again!
