We ate at this location a few times when it used to be the "Cowboy Bar and Grill" and didn't care for the food or expensive prices, but the Empire Grille is actually very good! My Dad had some sort of a chicken special with an apricot sauce, potatoes, cheese and beans and it was super tasty! I had the Spinach Salad with Prawns, it was very tasty but a little on the smaller side than I was hoping for and only about a half dozen prawns. I saw a few other customers get served their dinners and some of the dishes looked super good! It was very busy for a Sunday night, but the service absolutely top notch! Continuously refilled our water and brought us more of the delicious bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Definitely give this place a try, I don't think that you will be disappointed! Enjoy!

Four of us in our family like to have an early dinner on New Year's Eve and then go home to watch the Times Square festivities on TV. We had a hard time making a reservation--most restaurants weren't taking them or required at least a party of 6 or more. So we tried the Empire Grille, which opened only about 6 months ago, and was happy to reserve a spot for us. The meal and service were great! Among the four of us we had lamb shank, steak, and pork chop dinners, all of which were REALLY good. The service was super also. We celebrated New Years by all ordering desserts, and they were yummy too. The entree costs were all about $20 (including veggies etc.). The ambiance is pretty plain but the food and service more than made up for that. (The Grille is named after an old-time mining company; maybe they could adopt that as a decorating theme?) Anyway, I hope this place makes it. We'll definitely be back.

we researched the area earlier and picked Empire Grille as our lunch destination, so glad we did. There were 6 of us and all were pleased with the meals we chose. everything was hot and fresh. nice little, small town setting, highly recommend.

Empire Grille has a great menu and does an excellent job cooking up some good food. The service was homey and friendly. We had a large group and they were still very fast and got the orders correct. The place is small, in a cozy sort of way. Plenty of options on the menu for all eaters too. Parking was adequate, though on a busy night with a waiting list I could imagine parking being more of a challenge.

We had our first experience with the Empire Grille in Felton last night , Sunday, for dinner. The site is the former Cowboy Diner venue, nicely done over.

We were seated promptly by a kindly gent. Our waitress for the evening was Julie. I can't say enough about the service Julie provided. Outstanding.

Julie deftly listed the evening's specials, took our drink orders and left us to our menus for a short bit. I opted for the Blackened Tuna special, served with mashed potatoes and a very nice vegetable medly of squash, brocolli and cauliflower.

Husband ordered the Ravioli special which consisted of spinach pasta pillows filled with cheese and swimming in a pool of pesto.

We were just sitting back enjoying our glasses of wine, when our dinner orders arrived. Slightly too quick on the delivery, we nevertheless, dove in.

My Blackened Tuna was a very nice sized tuna steak, perfectly blackened with delicious flavors, perfectly cooked. The mashed potatoes needed salt but otherwise were delish. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and nicely presented.

Husband's Ravioli plate arrived on a white plate with a star-pattern serving well. Several ravioi, filled with cheeses and a plate of bread with olive oil and balsamic to capture all of the delicious pesto.

After both of us diving into our plates and making every yummy sound imaginable, complete with the wines we had selected, we couldn't be happier.

But then, Jullie wondered what about dessert? We opted for the Blueberry Bread Pudding with two spoons and small plates. This dessert, which arrived in a large sundae glass topped wtih whipped cream, was warm and satifsfying, not too sweet and set off the evening perfectly.

For a first visit, this restaurant is a solid 5 stars!! We will definitely be back and cannot recommend the Empire Grille highly enough! This place deserves to well-attended, requiring reservations!
