Lunch is limited to typical "sobaya" menu but dinner menu? Izaka-ya dishes and Good selection of nihonsyu=sake and shocyu. My noodle of choice is Seiro. I'll always order "Hako Uni" and steamed awabi to start with. Cold ume seiro I sprit for shime or start. I wish you could try all what they offer for the season! Sunday closed.

Delicious handmade soba and udon, definitely one the best I had in the area, but the price is rather high considering the portions are not exactly American sized.

Visited here with work colleagues while in town on business. The food is definitely good and not at all Americanized so I would recommend to anybody seeking authentic Japanese food. The one thing that left a sour taste was the staff. We paid the check and left a 10 percent tip. On our way to the car park our waitress ran after us - the fastest she moved all night - and told us that 10 percent wasn't enough! She said that 15 percent was the bare minimum and that her boss would be angry unless we paid 15 percent. The service had been fine without being exceptional so we felt 10 percent was sufficient but we were so taken aback we ended up paying 15 percent! Left an unpleasant taste in the mouth.

I came back to OTAFUKU for lunch with one of family members of KAWADA HOTEL(downtown L.A.) since it takes only 10 minutes via 110 freeway around 11:30am from downtown.
I ordered great SOBA and he ordered KATSUDON(Breaded pork cutlet boiled in egg+soy source over rice). Taste great and huge portion! to satisfy American stomach.
Price is vvvvvery reasonable, even too low as business lunch.
