I have returned here after finding this place on a scenic drive. I order a pulled pork sandwich, which is $8.00, add their special bbq kick sauce to this bite along with it is a choice , I selected the slaw. The slaw was unlike slaw I have had before this place, delicious. Soda Pop is $2.00 each, Juice is $2.00, and a burger is $8.00.
There is outside seating and along with the restroom located outside.

We almost didn't stop here because it looked so quiet we weren't sure they were open. Glad we investigated further. A really charming location, yummy home cooked food, and a kind welcoming owner. They have an ample beer selection and good pecan pie - which is hard to find. It's certainly out of the way, but worth a visit. Makes a lovely afternoon out from Sacramento.

Stumbled on this roadside café after booking a room at a nearby B&B in the Capay Valley west of Sacramento in the hills leading to lake country. Real southern food, not for the faint of heart. Excellent barbequed brisket. Hushpuppies, fried green tomatoes, pickled beets (amazing). 60 beers and an excellent selection of ciders. My only disappointment was that they were out of the fried jalapeno grits (getting ready to close for the holidays, so they were down on some items). Owner was very pleasant, ambience charming (great old-time wooden bar). East Tennessee vittles in the middle of rural California!

I feel so fortunate to have walked in the door of Guinda Commons. It is the quintessential small town sit-a-spell kind of place the restaurant and magazine reviewers look for. It is the only restaurant in the tiny town of Guinda and is easy to miss. The building itself is cozy with a wonderful wood bar, stone fireplace and booths--nothing fancy just nice. When I say bar don't think sleaze--this is a mom and pop cafe that has beer and wine. You can sit inside or out front or in the back and watch the horses next door stroll by. If what you're looking for is comfort food that is reasonably priced--this is the place. We've had the meatloaf, the brisket, hamburgers, the pulled pork and the ribs. Smoky, but not bitter, sweet but not cloying, spicy but not distracting--just delicious. They smoke the meat themselves and the bbq sauce is their own recipe. I even had them cater my wedding reception. The service is always genuine and quick and there is a just made that day dessert available. It is fine to go in dressed just as you are even if that means you just got off a tractor--it is unpretentious and a fine addition to the Capay Valley.

Very dirty, food is not very good neither is the serves. Don't go to this place in less you are ready to be disappointed. I live by it and nobody is ever there to eat. I don't get how they can stay open
