Great way to spend an afternoon. The pourings were generous and the food was delicious. The 5 courses included 2 sorbets made with their wines. Delicious comfort food without pretensions: watermelon salad with feta & pickled onions, tomato bisque with grilled cheese (havarti & provolone), orechiette w/sausage, pulled pork slider with slaw and a intense chocolate brownie with caramel and sea salt. There were 11 of us.

We attended a wine and food pairing at the winery and it was excellent. There were 5 courses.
The first course was watermelon cubes with a special seasoned vinaigrette that was delicious. This was paired with a white and a rose wine. The second course was a cream basil tomato soup with toasted cheese cubes paired with a white wine. The portions were ample and the wine was plentiful!
For the other 3 courses you must attend to find out!
But they were excellent also. Lisa the owner did the preaentations and she made it fun!
All of the staff at the winery are so nice and helpful.
One of our favorite wines there is Cinque Gemma!

We went to Sapphire Hill Winery for the food and wine pairing lunch this past weekend. The service was fantastic. The food courses were all excellent, and well thought out and paired with each wine. The wine portions were a perfect size, considering there were about 8 of them, and we were welcome to revisit any of the wines at the end, which helped us make a decision on which to purchase.
We will definitely be back!

I decided to try this out with my wife after seeing the deal on Living Social. It was a hot day (>100°) but inside was very cool, literally and figuratively. We did the 5-course wine and food pairing and loved it. Our host, who was one of the winery owners, was friendly and made the whole experience memorable. She said that she wasn't a trained chef but just liked to try things to see what works which made all of us feel more connected tot he experience--like it was something we could re-create (sort of). All was great!

I bought a living social deal for the wine and food pairing. It was an outing for my husband and myself. We had to drive about 2 hours to Healdsburg from the Bay Area (always be mindful of the traffic).

It's a small gathering so advance reservations is a must. Lisa (the owner) was very entertaining and her home cook recipes were good with the wine. 5 course with about 8 different wines to taste.

It was a good experience and would recommend this place.
