Contrary to a previous reviewer’s expectation, this is not a destination place with fine appointments, it is a neighborhood bakery, the mother of all that Semifreddi is presently. There are two tables outside with metal chairs and tables. It can get cold and windy. So much for a sit down situation offering comfort to visitors. They stock pretty much the entire line of Semifreddi bread products. They make delicious sandwiches to order. They offer fresh quality coffee and a variety of teas. As for breakfast pastries, they come in two sizes, regular and mini. I like the pecan swirls. I also like the almond croissants and apple turn overs. Their bakery white loaf makes wonderful toast and French toast too. The young people who staff the place seem to enjoy what they do. Locals can often be found waiting in a line reaching out of the door for just what it takes to launch into their morning. Don’t look for fancy, just enjoy what you have in the bag when you walk out.
